1000 Visitors a Day in Andorra’s Unnic Casino

Unnic, the first wholly established casino in Andorra, was opened on March 4th. It seems the residents and tourists craved a casino more than it was expected since the number of visitors exceeded expectations. During the first few weeks, about 22.000 people visited this leisure and entertainment center.

Something for everyone:

The casino is located in the center of Andorra la Vella, on Prat de la Creu. It currently provides 200 people with jobs, so it’s fantastic for the economy and living conditions of the residents.

The property became popular on short notice, with about 1000 people that visit it every day, 900 of which dine there. However, on the opening night, the guests were more than excited: even 2,100 people visited Unnic, 70% of them Andorra residents, and only 30% were tourists.

Unnic joined forces with Grupo Orenes, one of the leading Spanish operators. More than €25 million had been invested in the new casino. The property is situated on 7,500 square meters, and it possesses 150 slot machines. There are also blackjack, poker, and roulette games for the ones who don’t enjoy slots so much.

To make things even more entertaining, there are international poker tournaments, shows, and events, all of that followed by a fantastic dining experience in a gastronomic area that is under the baton of the most famous chefs in the world. If you aren’t hungry, the cocktail maker Javier de las Muelas (Dry Martini) will ensure you still can have an experience of your life in Unnic.

Jocs SA, a company from Andorra, got a license for the casino, while many others that applied hadn’t. Among them are Genting, Cirsa, Casinos Austria, and Partouche, but regulators decided to leave everything in the hands of the residents.

High expectations:

Jocs Marc Martos, CEO of the casino, hopes that about 250,000 guests will visit the casino during the year. Many of them are coming from neighboring countries such as France, Spain, and Portugal, but there are also tourists from the UK and Russia.

Martos said: “It was born with the idea of being a place to have a good time, share good times, with a gastronomic offer with different restaurant spaces, have a drink, enjoy a good meal or drink, and always in a good atmosphere. The show, event, entertainment, and all kinds of leisure products. We wanted an iconic space, an innovative and unique leisure concept, the best option to let go and have fun 365 days a year. A place to live new experiences.”

Josep Dos Santos is the new Casino Director of the venue. He is pleased about that, which he doesn’t hide: “UNNIC gives me an extraordinary opportunity because this centre is destined to be one of the benchmarks in Europe. We have a great team to make this challenge a reality and contribute to making Andorra one of the most outstanding tourist destinations.”

PAX East 2022- Lucid Crosses Celeste With Metroidvania Mechanics

Apogee’s rebranding has been a kind of return to form for the decades-old publisher Come from Sports betting site VPbet . Its roots are in fast-paced games and it’s continuing to work with developers making fast-paced games. Turbo Overkill, a game that looks at Doom Eternal and says, “that’s too slow” proves that much. The company’s selection of games at PAX East 2022 is very much in that same vein, save for one that it decided to keep secret. That game is Lucid, a platformer being developed by one man, Eric Manahan, and it’s a far cry from the other games Apogee is showing off.

Instead of a shooter accompanied by pumped-up music meant to send players into some kind of blood rage, Lucid opts for a calmer app…
